Free branding tools for Australian businesses.
There are 5 planning tools here for working out what you need before you spend anything. Free, instant, no signup and no email required.
There are 5 tools here: a cost calculator that publishes its entire model on the page, a 12-criteria brand audit, a name generator with its word pools printed, 15 colour palettes with every hex code listed, and a structure guide for writing brand guidelines. All of them are planning aids. None of them is a quote, and none of them replaces a designer reading your actual brief.
Branding Cost Calculator
Pick your scope and get an illustrative range. The whole model is published on the page: 10 deliverable figures, 3 adjustment factors and 3 worked examples.
The figures are our own planning assumptions, not survey data or market rates.
Open the cost calculatorBrand Audit Checklist
Score your brand against 12 criteria in 4 groups, and find out whether your gaps are assets, consistency, clarity or governance. About 3 minutes.
A self-assessment. The score is a plain percentage with no weighting or benchmark.
Run the brand auditBrand Name Generator
Get 15 name combinations at a time from 4 style pools, with the word lists and the 5 construction patterns printed on the page.
It checks nothing. ASIC, trade marks, domains and handles are all on you.
Generate name ideasColour Palette Generator
Browse 15 curated palettes across 5 moods, all 75 hex codes listed, with a note on which colour should do which job in each palette.
Chosen by eye, and not tested for contrast compliance.

The 8 sections a workable set of brand guidelines needs, what to write in each one, and the mistake most commonly made in it.
A written structure guide, not a file to download.
Read the structure guideWhich tool to start with
It depends on which question you are actually stuck on, and the 5 tools answer 5 different ones:
- You do not know what it should cost. Start with the branding cost calculator. It turns a scope into an illustrative range and, more usefully, shows which parts of a scope carry the weight.
- You have a brand but something is off. Run the brand audit checklist. It separates problems that need a designer from problems that need a document, which are usually the majority.
- You have not named the business yet. Use the brand name generator for raw material, then run the availability checks printed underneath it before you commit to anything.
- You are choosing colours. The colour palette generator lists 15 palettes with all their hex codes and a note on which value should do which job.
- Your brand keeps drifting. The brand guidelines structure guide sets out the 8 sections that stop it, and what belongs in each.
What these tools deliberately do not do
None of them produces a quote, and none of the figures on this site is an offer. There is no pricing survey behind the cost calculator, no benchmark behind the audit score, and no availability checking behind the name generator. Every limitation is printed on the tool that carries it rather than buried in a footnote, because a planning tool that overstates its own authority is worse than no tool at all.
What they do is turn a vague question into a specific one. A brief that says which 4 of the 12 audit criteria failed, or which deliverables are in scope and which are not, gets a far more accurate quote than a brief that says the brand needs updating.
When you want a real number
Send the brief through the quote form. It goes to an experienced Australian brand design studio, which prices the actual scope. We aim to respond within 1 business day. If you want to see how that works before sending anything, the process page sets it out step by step, and the about page explains what this site is and how it makes its money.
If you already know what you need, the service pages cover it directly: logo design, brand design, brand refresh, brand strategy, brand guidelines and graphic design.
Need more than a tool?
When you are ready to work with a designer, send us the brief. We connect you with an experienced Australian brand design studio, which quotes on your actual scope. We aim to respond within 1 business day.
